"Map Items" will generate Map Items that you can import directly into the "data" folder of you world save to overwrite an existing map. Considered legacy since McEdit is not actively being updated to my knowledge "McEdit Schematics" is a legacy feature to generate. A function is also generated which can be imported into the world save to load the entire map in a single command. "Minecraft Structures" will generate structure files which can be loaded with structure blocks and imported into worlds. Having all colors (4/4) is not possible in survival, but can be created by using the "Map Item" output mode. These are a pain to build in survival, but look much nicer depending on the image. "Staircases" generate staircase-like structures in a crazy mess that uses much more colors. These are much easier to replicate in survival mode, but with much less color accuracy. "Flat" will generate a flat structure with a more limited color palette. Grayscale makes the image generate with no color, only black, grays and white. Use "Replace birch logs with diorite" to generate the structure with Diorite insteadĭithering causes the colors to blur with each other to create smoother color transitions and shading. JPG, and maybe others.ĭeselecting any "Allow" options will restrict certain colors.

PNG format, however it does also work with. If the image is smaller than 128x128 or not a multiple of it, empty space will be filled with black. This is useful for making large high-resolution maps. For example, a 256x256 will generate a 2x2 of 4 maps total. If the image is bigger, it will generate multiple maps equating to the entire space of the image. If you want the image to convert to a single map, the image must also be 128x128 pixels. = Convert any image into an in-game structure or map item:ġ: Open the "Map Generator.jar" (Opened with java)Ģ: Select the image you want to convert with the "Browse" button
